Duff will fill in as
View co-host
|
ABC’s The View anticipates a
colossal lineup of
impressive guest hosts while
co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck
goes on her six-week
maternity leave.
The show’s producers are
expecting the roster, which
includes doubles tennis star
and model Anna Kournikova,
Food Network’s vixen Rachael
Ray, and teen star Hilary
Duff, to take over after
Hasselbeck’s due date of
March 29.
“We’re trying to pick people
that are fun for our
audience to see, and we want
to make sure everybody knows
this is not a job audition,”
said executive producer Bill
Geddie in a New York Post
interview.
Hasselbeck, known for her
stint on Survivor: Outback,
won an on-air audition
process to replace Lisa
Ling.
Her husband is Washington
Redskins quarterback Tim
Hasselbeck. This is their
first child.
Other guest hosts lined up
for Hasselbeck’s absence
include Desperate Housewives
co-star Andrea Bowen, That
‘70s Show starlet Mila Kunis,
and 8 Simple Rules’ Kaley
Cuoco.
Duff has reportedly been
confirmed for the week of
April 4 and Kunis will join
The View’s hosts, Meredith
Vieira, Star Jones, Joy
Behar and Barbara Walters on
April 27 to 29. |
