Teen entertainer Hilary Duff to play Germain

Teen queen Hilary Duff will perform at Germain Arena on Wednesday, Aug. 4, according to her official Web site, hilaryduff.com.

Germain Arena officials and Ticketmaster have yet to announce the concert.
Steve St. John, Germain Arena’s general manager, could not confirm an upcoming appearance by Duff.

“I don’t have a signed contract,” he said Monday. “The deal has not been inked.”
Duff, who launched her pop rock career in 2003 with her debut CD “Metamorphosis” and had a single, “So Yesterday,” reach No. 1, will begin a tour in July.

According to the Web site, the Germain Arena performance is one of two scheduled for Florida. The other will be at Kissimmee’s Silver Spurs Arena.

Duff’s career began with the starring role on the Disney Channel series “Lizzie McGuire.” In 2003, she co-starred with Frankie Muniz in “Agent Cody Banks,” her motion picture debut.

She has since appeared in the films “Cheaper by the Dozen,” “A Cinderella Story” and “Raise Your Voice.”
